Luongo Watch- 2012
Not much to report on this, although a few sources on Twitter are reporting this deal to go down in the next 48-72 hours. Sources are reporting that the Panthers are still the team that will land Luongo. Names that have been speculated coming back to Vanouver are Gudbranson, Upshall, Theodore, Ellerby, Jovanovski, Versteeg, Kulikov, Bjugstad, Howden, Mcfarland, Trocheck, Wilson, Wright, Petrovic, and a bag of pucks.
NTC -- would never waive to go to Canucks |

I dont understand why people get shocked by these AHL signings...Mullen is one of them.....Gillis does it every year. It's called throwing a bone to your AHL farm team.... |

On a side note, 30 bucks for lower bowl in Florida? Wow, just wow. That might get you 3 beers in Canadian markets.
I see you've never been to the ACC Ian
30 bucks gets you two beers at the ACC...in fact, they make you take out a small line of credit when you enter becaue the ATM machines dont have enough cash on hand to fulfill the beer drinking needs of fans

And Im not sure about the whole Florida thing...although its Luongos preference, I dont think they follow through with it because of the goalies they currently have. I would argue that Florida isnt in "need" of goaltending help and that they may likely focus their efforts elsewhere. |

Is hockey in Canadian markets the most expensive sport in NA to attend? I feel like I'm still paying off a debt from last year's Canuck tickets. |

We've all agreed with this view in the past, but yet the rumors persist and Tallon himself has stated they've been in discussion with Van over Lu. Make of that what you will. |

Not a chance Jovo comes back to Vancouver. He loves Florida, won't accept a trade here.
Goc, prospect + pick is what I'm assuming will come back.
My offer Friday.
Toronto trades 6 first round picks, Kadri, Ashton, Colbourne for Getzlaf and Ryan. |

Got to be. Any sporting event in Canada is expensive. Even MLS soccer. It's stupid how expensive the whitecaps are. When you think about it, we pay top dollar for tier 56 soccer. Junior leagues in England have better scrimmages. Terrible. |

The weber offer is terrible!!!
I would start by asking for elder in any weber deal
To nsh: edler, sauve, raymond, 2013 1st rounder and 2014 first rounder
To van weber, prospect
To sign weber you will be looking at 13-15 years and 95-100 million dollars!!! |

Not trying to be a richard but you guys don't have any other major sports to compete with so of course your ticket prices are going to be more
The CFL and shuffleboard on ice doesn't count |

It certainly is...being in Ontario, the ACC is the only place near me to watch NHL games and nose bleeders are 115-150ish a ticket depending on whos playing. And I know its the whole Leafs thing...but I went to an Ottawa game and it was fairly close.
With respect to your comment about Florida, I try to take what they say in the media with a grain of salt. Most of the time what they say never transpires anways, and for that reason, I say he dosnt end up in Florida unless the Panthers pay even LESS than what Toronto is likely offering.
They arent in a need for a tender, especially not enough to outbid Toronto, imo. Gillis may not want to deal with Burkie...but may have to soon. |
